While ignition interlocks and handheld breathalyzers both test your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC), an ignition interlock device is installed in a vehicle and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected.
Handheld Breathalyzer
A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
